Tess's Story
Tess began her journey at just 11 years old through 4-H, discovering a love for leather craft that has continued for over 25 years. Early on, she was fortunate to learn from skilled mentors in Yuma County, including Kathy Fonte, and later continued refining her craft under the guidance of industry leader and close friend Kathy Flanagan.

Her work has gained recognition over the years, with pieces from the North American Mammal collection being featured in the Leather Art Showcase by Jim Shipley. While leather craft is an ancient art form, they believe it is one that continues to evolve—always offering something new to learn and explore.

Deeply inspired by the culture and landscapes of the American West, her work reflects a strong connection to nature, ranch life, and traditional craftsmanship. She especially enjoys the creative process of transforming an idea into a functional, meaningful piece that others can use and appreciate.

As a stay-at-home mom, farmer’s wife, and artist, she draws daily inspiration from country and western life. From wallets and jewelry to detailed pet portraits, every piece they create helps keep the tradition of leather craft alive and thriving.
